In this month's newsletter we have a lot of exciting things going on, including our annual fall fundraiser Green Tie Bash honoring Champions of Energy, Energy Action Month and more!

Green Tie Bash honoring Champions of Energy

The Green Tie Bash honoring Champions of Energy is the 2nd annual Champions of Energy event hosted by Nexus Energy Center

Nexus Energy Center is so excited to host our 2nd annual Champions of Energy event, the Green Tie Bash honoring Champions of Energy!

This will be a night of dinner, drinks, music, and more as we celebrate those in our community that have shown true dedication to saving energy. The keynote speaker for the evening is Mr. Ned Doyle, a long-time sustainability and clean energy advocate, as well as the current host of the radio talk show Our Southern Community. Mr. Doyle has a wealth of experience in energy and environmental policy, serving as the former Director for the Southern Energy and Environment Expo and Director of the Real Earth Action Learning Institute in Asheville, North Carolina.

We also have some amazing silent auction items up for grabs, including a special photo autographed by renowned NASA astronauts Buzz Aldrin, John Glenn, Michael Collins, Alan Bean, and James Lovell!

Energy Action Month

October is officially Energy Action Month! To celebrate, Nexus will be taking the Tiny Green Home to various events around Huntsville and Madison, teaching people about how they can save energy in their homes, businesses, schools, churches, and more.

October 6th, the Tiny Green Home will be on the Redstone Arsenal as part of their "Energy Awareness" campaign.

Then, on October 20th we will be taking the Tiny Green Home to the monthly Energy Huntsville meeting. Energy Huntsville is a local group that focuses on a variety of energy initiatives, including renewables, fossil fuels, and energy technology.

Combined Federal Campaign

Madison Street Festival
The Madison Street Festival is one of the largest community events for the city of Madison, and the Tiny Green Home will be there to participate! Happening October 3rd, you can find out more info at madisonstreetfestival.org

Green Tie Bash honoring Champions of Energy
Tickets for our Green Tie Bash are going fast! It's going to be an amazing night of food, drinks, music, and fun. It's all happening October 15th at the Huntsville Botanical Garden - click here for more info and to purchase tickets

Energy Huntsville

It's officially Energy Action Month! We'll be taking the Tiny Green Home to the October Energy Huntsville meeting on October 20th. Open to the public, you can find out more information about meetings and other Energy Huntsville events at energyhuntsville.com
