Sunday Morning Prayer

At 8:15am this Sunday, at our Uptown location, we will be gathering to pray. Each month, we gather to pray over our worship locations, the ministry that will take place that morning, and for the people God will be bringing to church. You are welcome to join us, no need to RSVP.

Youth Events

There's some pretty fun stuff coming up for the Youth Group! They'll be gathering multiple times throughout the month for events ranging from a Dodgeball Tournament, to a Messy Game Night, to the Fall Lock-In. To learn more details for each event, check out the Youth Calendar!

Montaña de Luz

People from Central started taking trips to Montaña de Luz all the way back in 2001.  MdL is a children's home in Honduras that supports children affected by HIV/AIDS.  In 2008, Central started taking church-sponsored trips, with about 10-15 people each year, enabling 46 different people to join us on this trip over seven years.

It's been a couple of years since we've sent a group from Central, but we are finally headed back in May!  While there, we will be learning about their ministry & culture, helping them with work projects, and loving on the children.  If you would like to go with us--either for the first time or as someone returning--we'd love to get you more information.

"We've had a rough go of it these last few months, and I honestly don't know how we would have survived without the people in our small group. Practically, they visited us, brought food & gifts, crafted cards with scripture, dragged us out of the hospital, dropped everything & came to visit, sat & held our hands during the unknown, picked up our son for play dates, and had their kids make artwork to decorate the hospital room.
"Simply put: they loved us and our children well. Most importantly, they prayed. And not only did they pray, they let us know how deeply we were covered in prayer with their texts, facebook messages, emails, cards, and visits. They embraced us while we were in the in-between, in the unknown, on our 'Saturday.'
"They truly demonstrated Christ's love to our family. It was the self-sacrificial, get-your-hands-dirty, not always easy or pleasant or preferred kind of love. They prayed and believed for miraculous healing when we were unable to whisper our prayers & petitioned unceasingly on our behalf. They loved us in spite of our brokenness, our incompleteness, and our fearfulness.
"They have been the light in the darkest of times, the air when we've had the wind knocked out of us, and the calm in the midst of the storm. They are our people, our family, and we wouldn't have survived this without them.
"

Brittany's daughter, Prayli, was diagnosed with a condition called Subglottic Stenosis. When she exerted herself (running or crying), or if she got sick, Prayli's airway would close and she would struggle to breathe.

She underwent a surgery to reconstruct her trachea, which required her to be in a week-long, drug-induced coma.  The Peterson family remained at the hospital for an additional two weeks to aid in healing.

One month post-surgery, Prayli's doctors say she has healed perfectly & the surgery site is nearly unrecognizable.
