OCTOBER NEWS
The past month has seen the final two weeks of the Bristol Arena consultation, the first stages and near completion of Boxworks at Engine Shed and the acquisition of a key development site in the Zone. We've also been getting to know two business that have recently moved into the Enterprise Zone, ESI Ltd and Obrussa. Boxworks
 Work is well underway on the installation of Boxworks at Engine Shed. The meanwhile use development, made up of twenty re-purposed shipping containers, will provide custom-designed workspace for the creative, digital and high-tech industries. These will create additional capacity for Engine Shed, which reached full occupancy in its first year.
Temple Gate site acquired by Skanska
Property developer Skanska has bought an 0.75 acre site next to Temple Meads station from another developer, TCN. Skanska's plans for the site have not yet been released, but they have commented that they will be building the 'ext generation' of offices.  Our latest business profiles are of ESI Ltd, a consultancy firm specialising in water resources, land quality and sustainable development, and Obrussa, an education technology company developing a new online learning platform. Enterprise Zones: 10 things you didn't know

Paintworks Rises: new time lapse video
Phase 3 of works at Paintworks is moving along at a fast pace, with the outlines of the new buildings already visible. We've summed up the work done so far in a 48 second time lapse video.
Bristol Arena consultation now closed
The consultation on plans for the Bristol Arena has now closed. You can still view the proposals that were consulted on online, and the website will be updated with any news on the project. When the planning application for the arena is submitted there will a statutory consultation, the details of which will be sent out via this newsletter and listed on the website.

Love Food Festival, Sunday 25th October
 The Love Food Festival will be returning to Paintworks this Autumn on Sunday 25th October, from 10.30am - 4pm. Entry to the event is free, and you can expect a range of edible goods and family friendly entertainment: local producers, craft stalls, street food and more. Obrussa Hack Night, Thursday 12th November
Following the success of their last hack night in September, Obrussa are hosting another, this time focussing on building RESTful Service Layers in NodeJS. Their hack nights are about sharing knowledge of building production-ready software applications using Javascript, and aim to discuss industry best practice as well as demonstrate how components, usually built using more traditional technologies, can be built differently. 'Does my company matter?', Wednesday 28th October
Run by company Zetetic, Temple Quarter Breakfast is a monthly business breakfast event with a difference, a session for enquiry and discussion. October's event focusses on 'Does my company matter?'; more details are available online.
ExploreExport 2015, Wednesday 11th November
 This one day event, delivered by Business West in association with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), gives attendees the opportunity to explore over 60 markets around the world. It is made up of one-to-one meetings and workshops. Further information and details of how to book are available online.
