Getting to the Conference
The conference will be held on the 3rd floor (south side) of the COEX, in Rooms 317-326 and Hall C4. The nearest subway stop is Samseong Station (Line 2); the nearest entrances at the COEX are the West and South Gates. Additional transportation information and detailed directions with photos are available online. A floor plan of the conference area is available here.

If you're attending the conference on Saturday and Sunday only, the registration area is across from Hall C4. The easiest way to get there is to take the escalator closest to the West Gate (in the southwest corner of COEX, outside Hall A4). If you take that escalator, when you get off on the 3rd floor, Hall C4 will be on your left, Onsite Registration on your right. If you have pre-registered, walk past Onsite Registration and through the double doors next to the registration printers; you'll see Pre-registration ahead of you. Presenters, to get your passes, you'll continue past Pre-registration to the Presenters Lounge.
If you are attending the Friday pre-conference workshops, you may pick up your pass (3-day or Friday-only) at the workshop registration table just outside Room 317. Workshop registration will be open from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Note: Conference passes will NOT be available after 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Workshop registration will be on the 3rd floor of COEX, outside Room 317, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Friday (10/9).
If you pre-registered for the Friday pre-conference workshops, you will be assigned your first-choice strand. You may pick up your pass (3-day or Friday-only) at the workshop registration table.

(Be sure to check the errata sheet at the conference to get the most current times and locations!)

The Membership Committee cordially invites all members to a Members Social & Networking Event on Saturday, October 10! From 6:15-7:15 p.m., members are invited to enjoy some wine, cheese, and other light refreshments in the lobby between Rooms 317 & 318. Come relax, reflect, and socialize with your KOTESOL compatriots! (Not attending the conference? Not a problem! The social is open to all members.)

All members may vote onsite in the 2015 KOTESOL national elections! This year, the following positions are up for election:
- President
- First Vice President
- Second Vice President
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- International Conference Co-chair
- Nominations and Elections Chair
Visit the elections/voting booth to review candidates' profiles and to vote. The voting booth will be open on Saturday (10/10) from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday (10/11) from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. The results of the election will be announced at the Annual Business Meeting scheduled to be held on October 11, 4:55-5:55 p.m., in Room 318A.

Join plenary speaker Chuck Sandy and the Christian
Teachers SIG on Sunday morning from 8:15 to 8:45 in Room 322 for an ecumenical time of fellowship, prayer, reflection, and celebration. There might also be some singing. The service will be led by Chuck Sandy and is sponsored by the Christian Teachers SIG. All are welcome.

Conference attendance certificates are available upon request; just stop by the conference help desk on Saturday or Sunday. If you're attending only the Friday pre-conference workshops, you may pick up a certificate at the workshop registration table.

All members are hereby notified of the motion to amend the KOTESOL Constitution, specified below, to be voted upon at the KOTESOL Annual Business Meeting scheduled for Sunday, October 11, at 4:55 p.m. within the KOTESOL International Conference venue at COEX (Seoul), having met the provisions for endorsement and notice under Constitution Article VIII.
The Proposal
That Article V of the KOTESOL Constitution be amended to DELETE the clause "except for the President, who shall serve a two-year term, elected biannually except where the Presidency has been vacated, in which case a new election shall be held along with the election for other officers."
The Effect
To change the term of office of KOTESOL president to a single year, as with other national officers.

The pre-conference (Autumn 2015) issue of The English Connection (TEC) is now online! In addition to all the regular columns and features, this special expanded issue contains over 20 extra pages of International Conference information: exclusive interviews with plenary speakers Chuck Sandy and Robert S. Murphy, articles by and interviews with invited speakers, invited speakers' presentation schedules, and more. Members should have received their hard copy in the mail, and members and non-members alike can download this issue online now.

Do you want to help shape the future of KOTESOL? Would you like to learn new skills or put your old ones to good use? Are you interested in contributing to the organization in personally meaningful way? Come to the 2015 KOTESOL Leadership Retreat on November 8!
The retreat is open to all members in good standing. Members who attend will be invited to share their opinions, volunteer their skills, and join (or even chair) a committee. Additional details will be available online soon.

The Daejeon-Chungcheong Chapter will be hosting its November Symposium and Thanksgiving Dinner at Woosong University in Daejeon on Saturday, November 28, 2015. This year's theme is "What do students need to succeed in studying English?" The chapter invites interested presenters to submit proposals by Friday, October 16. The Research Committee is now accepting applications for research grants. The committee welcomes proposals from all KOTESOL members, regardless of past research experience, now through October 31, 2015. The committee will award up to seven grants for up to 300,000 won each. For guidelines and submission information, please visit the Research Committee's page.

Pre-registration is open for JALT2015, scheduled to be held November 20-23 in Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. Visit the JALT2015 website to get a pre-registration discount, arrange accommodation, check the list of speakers, and more. Pre-registration for regular attendees closes October 25.
JALT's Task-Based Learning Special Interest Group (TBL SIG) has opened the call for proposals for the 3rd Task-Based Language Teaching in Asia conference, scheduled to be held June 25 & 26, 2016, in Kyoto, Japan. The deadline for submissions is March 6, 2016. Guidelines and additional information can be found here.
