Volunteers are extremely important to Better Days! If you are interested in helping Better Days by providing support for resident care, facilities maintenance, our thrift stores or fundraising, please visit the volunteer section of the website. This month, meet Cassandra!
Cassandra adopted Axel, now known as Bailey, in July of 2013 and became involved as a volunteer around the same time. Cassandra is one of our evening dog caretakers who helps make sure our dogs are tucked into bed each evening! One of Cassandra's favorite things to do though is make sure each and every dog at Better Days gets a walk. The dogs are thrilled when they see Cassandra and know they are going to be getting an evening walk and break from their kennel. Cassandra will walk as many dogs as she can in the evenings and even credits dog walking as an excellent weight loss plan! Cassandra has recently lost more than 25 pounds! Better Days Animal League thanks Cassandra for her commitment to the dogs!
Although Cassandra preferred to stay out of the limelight, she agreed to have a picture of Bailey in place of her photo!
