So it might seem like fast food's popularity is waning. But fast food isn't going anywhere -- it's just changing significantly. Here's my latest Seeking Alpha column on how fast food as we've known it may be dying, but it's getting better -- and that's a good thing.

extraordinary experiences
My new book, Extraordinary Experiences: What Great Retail and Restaurant Brands Do, is set to launch in the next few weeks. Among the seven retail and restaurants brands it profiles is how Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, a mid-sized fast-food chain, fought back from near financial bankruptcy and franchisee mutiny by applying the first brand-building principle, Great Brands Start Inside. And how Great Brands Commit and Stay Committed is embraced by the leaders at Jason's Deli who have run the regional restaurant company through 40 years of ups and downs.
