Happy Fall! Here is the latest from Palms for Life:
Join1000 results are in! We've selected the NICARAGUA - SANITATION project as the recipient of this round of Join1000. Read more about it here and sign up for Join1000 if you haven't yet.
We entered into a partnership with The Sanitation Project, a US-based organization responding to an initiative in India to build more than 5 million toilets by 2019 to reduce open defecation nationwide.
Our partner organization, RIEcuador, successfully funded their micro-project of helping Ecuadorian children with their education, providing 40 children with complete sets of supplies for the coming school year. 10 of those children who were most at risk of leaving school received uniforms to help them stay.
Palms for Life Executive Director Hannah Laufer-Rottman wrote an article for Dr. Gramma Karen's blog about the Swazi Gogo - the name for grandmother in Swaziland. It's a beautiful piece about how the role of the Gogo has shifted as the country's social fabric has eroded due to HIV/AIDS. Read it here.
Lastly, we've revamped our donate page to show you the 5 BENEFITS OF GIVING to Palms for Life. Thank you for your invaluable support in helping us continue our work and mission.
