  • One in four adults--approximately 61.5 million Americans--- experience serious mental illness a year
  • Serious mental illness cost America $193.2 billion a year in lost earnings per year.
  • The World Health Organization reports that Major Depression is the leading global disability.
  • Adults living with serious mental illness die approximately 25 years sooner due to treatable medical conditions.
  • Mood disorders such as depression are the third most common cause of  hospitalizations  in the US for adults and youth ages 18 to 44.
