Exam Prep: Extra Classes

Shrada and WIlbert  (above) are preparing for their ICT Practical Exams involving everything from email to website production. One of the important features of Cambridge International Examinations is their focus on the practical aspects of the curriculum.

This year we are supporting our Senior Students with voluntary Exam Prep tutorials throughout the term break.  With Cambridge Exams starting soon after the 4th term begins, students have been keen to book extra days at school.

School closes at 2:00 pm today for all classes.

We close at 2:00 pm on the last day of each of terms 1, 2 and 3; and at mid-day at the end of term 4.

Advertising and Enrollments

Over the term break we are launching an advertising campaign in local newspapers.  Watch out for the ads and show them to your friends.  We have space for between 10 and 20 new enrolments for next year (some could start next term) so we want to get the news out there about what God is doing in Carey College.  We are also very happy to meet with parents, churches, and preschool groups to share the Carey College vision of nurturing children in truth and excellence for Christ.

We are thankful to God for a great term.  It has been packed full , but we rejoice that 2 Corinthians 9:8 is so true!

Uniforms: On Their Way

The first bulk order goes in this weekend.

We are looking forward to this big change in our school identity and expect it to be one of the ways we continue build school spirit among our pupils.

Fibre Connection Finally

Finally - after a whole term! - FibrePlus and Vector have completed our connection.  We now have the fibre connection running  with our test computer working properly and next week we will be installing a new wireless network so that from  the start of term all devices will be connected through the high speed fibre link.

Welcome Mr Hall

The Board has asked Mr Hall (yes, Mrs Hall's husband) to use his planning and marketing skills to work with staff and school families to help shape our strategic plan for the coming years.  So he will be around school quite a bit in Term 4. He would be delighted if you introduce yourselves if you see him.
