Tai McIsaac - Former Perth Spirit hooker Tai McIsaac has been appointed head coach of the Perth Spirit for the 2015 Buildcorp National Rugby Championship (NRC), alongside returning assistant coaches Dwayne Nestor and Elwee Prinsloo.
Tai responded well to variety of questions focused on the Perth Spirit’s season to date; his career as a player and coach; the quality of up and coming players like Nick Jooste and others who are part of the Future Force Foundation.
The Future Force Foundation identifies rugby talent from home and abroad and weaves them into the fabric of rugby in WA. We offer young players between the ages of 18 and 21 the opportunity to pursue a professional playing career as well as to develop as people.
Tai’s current challenge, given the run of results in the season thus far, was improving consistency of performance within the team and converting small margins into large gains on the field*.
*Since the event Tai appears to have achieved this with a win over the Qld Country.
Get down to McGillivray Oval for their next fixture this weekend @ 3:30pm against Melbourne.
Tai closed off with a challenge to the audience to consider supporting the Force Fifteen Foundation - See Huw Lock’s details below for contact details to find out how.
Huw Lock - Western Force & RugbyWA Sponsorship Manager, provided some Perth Spirit match tickets as well as a Western Force signed rugby ball. These were won by guests in a business card draw at the end of the evening.
Huw would be happy to discuss any corporate hospitality requests for Super Rugby or Wallaby Internationals in 2016 at the NIB stadium. Please reach out to him for more details. huw.lock@rugbywa.com.au
Tai and the Perth Spirit can be followed on twitter @PERTHSPIRIT / @RWA_Community and found on Facebook here and here.
