11) Verbal Abuse Prevention Week on PEI is October 4-11, 2015

"Verbal Abuse Prevention Week on PEI will be held from October 4-11, 2015. This has been held every year in PEI since 1999.
Schools and communities raise awareness of verbal abuse by having speakers and talking about its effects and how we can raise awareness and help prevent it from devastating lives.

As the 2015-16 school year begins, please be aware of your youth and how things are going at school. Ask them how their day was and look for warning signs. Ensure they feel comfortable about coming forward for help, no matter where they may be or how old they are. Especially in this technological age, look for signs of bullying online." (Excerpt from PSA).  Sincerely, Tami Martell, Verbal Abuse Prevention Canada
