Dear Parents

Thank you so much for your support for the Macmillan Coffee Morning which we held today in our lovely new hall. Not only was it a great opportunity to raise money for a good cause, but also to showcase the new hall and see how the whole school benefits from the summer building work, as it tied in really well with our Roald Dahl event. The amount collected so far is £481.00 and we hope to boost this with additional sales from the cake sale held this afternoon. Thank you to all the parents for your help and support of the event.

What an amazing day we have all had enjoying creative lessons based around the books of Roald Dahl. The sun shone brightly on our Year 6 students as they took on the roles of Dahl’s famous characters in a Covent Garden style display in the playground. Parents from the Macmillan coffee morning, as well as the children from across the school, pressed the red buttons to animate the displays and watched in delight at the superb interpretations.

Sports - Cross Country, RAF Halton

Gateway and Chalfont St Peter hosted the first local South Bucks schools’ cross-country meet of the season, held at RAF Halton. This is the first of four local events.  Saturday’s meet was brought forward from its usual spot in mid-October meaning that several schools and many individual children were unable to attend, due to prior commitments; despite this, there were still 14 schools ready to battle it out.
