Miner Bears Celebrate Grandparents Day!
Every year, the Miner Elementary Family Support Coordinator and the grandparent outreach programs, AARP and Foster Grandparents, host a breakfast to thank and celebrate all of the grandparents in our Miner community – those of students and our volunteers. More than 50 grandparents came this year, on Monday, September 14, and The DC Foster Grandparent program donated 50 new books to Miner!

Miner Students "Mobilize" at Atlas
Miner 5th graders were invited to Atlas Performing Arts Center to create mobiles with artist Kevin Reese as part of a community-building project called “Mobilizing Our Community.”
