Sights & Sounds of ASD
What exciting new happenings can you look forward to at this year's show? Beyond the international slate of artists and galleries exhibiting, there is a host of other events to draw you in. Let's take a look at some of the highlights:
- Thursday night from 7–9 p.m., join us for the VIP Opening Night Party, replete with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, live music, and a sneak peek at all the fabulous artwork. Your $75 admission to this soirée benefits the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego.
- Each day of the show, you'll be able to enjoy specially curated show programming, from Art Labs like the Light the Night installation and the Timeline Project to stimulating Art Talks and the inspiring Spotlight Artist and LaunchPad Programs.
- Don't miss ARTE Cuba, a standalone event within ASD curated by Stacy Conde of Conde Contemporary Gallery. ARTE Cuba will present a collection of modern and contemporary work from several Cuban artists and galleries.
- After a long day of exploring ASD's booths and special exhibitions, unwind at our lively evening events. On Friday night, take a shuttle from ASD to San Diego Art Institute for Electric Signal, the show's afterparty from 7–11 p.m., featuring food, drinks, and the rock band L.A. Witch. On Saturday from 6–8 p.m., come to the Young Collectors' Night event with a beer garden. Mix and mingle with fellow attendees and exhibitors for a perfect end to the show day.
Open Walls Project
If you live in the San Diego area or are planning on coming for the show, keep an eye out for the 10 art billboards that will be up, courtesy of the Open Walls Project. Showcasing the work of past San Diego Art Prize recipients, this project titled [META.MORPHOSIS] is the second public installation organized by the Open Walls Project, which works with building owners and community partners to create large-scale exhibitions throughout urban areas, seeking to transform typical commercial spaces and underutilized areas while simultaneously introducing the public to the work of local emerging artists.
As you can see, we've got a spectacular lineup of programming and events for you this November. Purchase your tickets today and get ready for an unforgettable, art-filled weekend.
Sincerely,
The Art San Diego Team |
