Holiness, Godliness, Usefulness

Lesson 833: Kindness, Pt.6
John 14:9 Jesus said, “Whoever has seen me has seen the Father.”
In this verse, Jesus clearly stated, “If you want to know who God is, look at me.”
John 5:18 This was why the Jews were seeking all the more to kill him, because not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.
The fruit of the Spirit is a picture of Jesus Christ. When Jesus walked on earth, He displayed every quality of the Spirit-filled life.
No other quality is more beautifully expressed in the life of Jesus than kindness.
Jesus fed 5,000 people with a few loaves and fishes. He cured a woman on the Sabbath day, even though it broke the Jewish law.
Acts 10:38 God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good… because God was with him.
Josh.1:9 the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
Deut.31:6 it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.
As believers, we are able to be kind, and to do good deeds, because like Jesus, God is with us.
About This Series
The goal of this series is to become more useful in serving the Lord Jesus Christ, as an instrument in the Redeemer's hand. The theme verses for the series are Ephesians 4:22-24, Philemon 11, 2 Timothy 2:21
- to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
- and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
- Formerly he was useless to you, but now he is indeed useful to you and to me.
- Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
