Holiness, Godliness, Usefulness

Lesson 835: Kindness, Pt.8
The world needs kindness. Let’s narrow the focus: your world needs kindness. Your home needs kindness.
The early church met in homes; it still does, in places where Christians are persecuted.
If kindness can work in homes, families and churches, it will work in any situation on earth.
1 Pet.4:10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace
Eph.4:32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Kindness makes us concerned about others: their physical, spiritual and financial needs.
A kind person is sensitive and aware of other people in their life, thoughtful and considerate of their needs.
It can be expressed simply, at little or no cost: praise, encouragement, saying thank you.
Our job is to do the specific acts of kindness that God has prepared for each of us to do, in the time and community where He placed us.
Opportunities to bless others are not disruptions to God’s plan – they are the plan.
About This Series
The goal of this series is to become more useful in serving the Lord Jesus Christ, as an instrument in the Redeemer's hand. The theme verses for the series are Ephesians 4:22-24, Philemon 11, 2 Timothy 2:21
- to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
- and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
- Formerly he was useless to you, but now he is indeed useful to you and to me.
- Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
