Lesson 843: Generosity in 3 John, Pt.4
The Bible is filled with promises to those who reach out to help others.
We should always be sensitive to needs that can be met through generosity, as the Holy Spirit leads us individually.
The unsaved world will never see what the Christian life is like unless we show them.
Christians should be the most generous people on earth.
God enables believers to give, so that they can meet needs in the body of Christ. Whatever God asks us to do, He always makes it possible.
God owns everything in the universe. Nothing can prevent God from accomplishing His purposes; those purposes are always kind and good.
Generosity pleases God; Gaius was being faithful. 3 John 5-6
You don’t have to be wealthy to be generous. God wants to know whether we will be generous with whatever He has given us.
God enables us to be generous, not only with money, but with grace and comfort.
We can share all good gifts with others, out of the overflow God provides.
2 Cor.9:8 God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
About This Series
The goal of this series is to become more useful in serving the Lord Jesus Christ, as an instrument in the Redeemer's hand. The theme verses for the series are Ephesians 4:22-24, Philemon 11, 2 Timothy 2:21
- to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
- and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
- Formerly he was useless to you, but now he is indeed useful to you and to me.
- Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
