Lift and swissnex India team are delighted to celebrate the Year of Swiss Innovation in India with a special international event in Bangalore - Lift India 2015. Lift India brings together the best of Swiss and Indian digital technologies through inspiring speeches, interactive workshops, an innovation night with top Swiss startups and an exhibition showcasing interactive projects and prototypes from Switzerland. The event will take place on 30 and 31 October 2015. 
Data Canvas - Sense your City
27 - 31 October 2015, National Gallery of Modern Art, Bangalore, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm IST 

Data Canvas Exhibition showcases innovative visualizations of data collected through a sensor on levels of pollution, dust, light, sound, temperature and humidity in Bangalore and other cities. The exhibition, formerly showcased in Geneva, Shanghai and Shenzhen, will now be exhibited in Bangalore as part of Lift India 2015. The exhibition opens on 27th October at 6.00 pm with a talk by Swiss Interaction Designer Soraia Binzagr.

Lift India is a one-day, invitation-only conference that will feature inspiring talks, interactive master classes and workshops. It will bring together innovators, entrepreneurs, artists and pioneers from India and abroad to exchange on digital technologies. An evening dedicated to innovation will precede the conference, on October 30, featuring some of the most exciting startups and projects from Switzerland.

India Academia-Industry Training Camp: Inviting applications from Indian Researchers

Researchers, come explore your market potential through swissnex India’s Academia–Industry Training (AIT) Camp! Under the Indo-Swiss Joint Research Program, swissnex India hosts AIT India Camp where 10 selected Indian researchers will join 10 Swiss researchers to learn how to transform their high-level applied research into market innovations. Masters, PhD, Postdoc scholars and researchers of Indian Universities, working on a non-profit basis, are invited to send in their applications.

Enable Makeathon: Call for Application

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and its partners are inviting persons with disabilities, designers, engineers, humanitarians and entrepreneurs to join forces in the "Enable Makeathon" to develop affordable products for people living with disabilities in rural areas. Teams will be selected and supported to design and make product prototypes designed for the rural disability space. We welcome you in this exciting journey of Frugal Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship!

India launches Swiss Satellite 'SwissCube'

SwissCube, Switzerland's first home-grown satellite, was successfully launched from a site in India. The device maps airglow, the faint bands of light caused when the sun's high-energy radiation collides with atoms and molecules in the upper atmosphere.  Read more
