Stormwater Regulation to Impact Nearly 7,000 Communities

With the MS4 Phase II program being the focus of yet another lawsuit by activists, many “smaller” communities may be scrambling to meet the new stormwater requirements.  What this may mean to these communities and the businesses located within these communities will be decided in the coming months.  Read more about the MS4 Phase II program.
 

Michigan Underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund

Michigan has lacked a cleanup funding mechanism for addressing USTs since the 1990s.  So it’s not too surprising that, according to the EPA, Michigan has about 8,400 UST sites that still need to be addressed.  However, that will change shortly, thanks to Public Act 416.  Read more about this important legislation and some timely tips to avoid forfeiting financial assistance.
