PARENT SOCIAL - WINE AND SILENT AUCTION DONATIONS NEEDED

Time to book your sitter because the Parent Social on November 14th is quickly approaching! Check those backpacks, invitations went home this past week. Last year’s Wine Raffle was a huge hit so we’re doing it again! Please help us by donating a bottle (or two) to our wine collectors Marianne Marquet, marimarquet@verizon.net, and Tory Stagnaro, torystagnaro@gmail.com. Remember - the more we collect the more winners we have! And who couldn’t use some extra wine over the holidays to give as gifts, to serve to friends, and to calm your nerves?!

We are still looking for donated auction items. Any event tickets, gift cards (even the ones collecting dust!), specialty goods and services are greatly appreciated. Questions? Contact Peggy Myers, peggyusc@gmail.com. But most importantly, we want to see you! Get those response cards in so we know you are coming!

WALKING CLUB DURING RECESS - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
The Walking Club started last week on Tuesdays and Thursdays (from October 6 through November 12) during recess. Students who choose to participate can earn prizes. Each child will get 1 card punch per lap walked around the playground area. The more punches on the card, the faster it is to win a prize. Come help promote health and fitness by volunteering to oversee the club. This is a great way to see your child at school and get some exercise.
Please sign up on Volunteer Spot for:
Shift 1: 11:20am - 12:30pm for Grades 1 - 2
Shift 2: 12:30 - 1:30pm for Grades 3 - 4

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS - NOTE NEEDED FOR KINDERGARTEN AND 1ST GRADE STUDENTS
The After School Clubs, sponsored by the HSA, started last week (from October 5 through December 11). They take place from 3:30 - 4:30pm after school and pick up is at the Carpool Circle (with the exception of Running Club and Board Games Club which dismiss at the School Entrance). If your child is in Grades 2 - 4, the teachers and school have a master list of all the students participating so parents do not need to write a note for their children to attend an After School Club. However, for children in Grades K - 1, please send a note. If your child is going to A Child's Place (after school care service) following the After School Club, a note is also needed. Do not forget to pack an extra snack for your child.

VISIT THE SCHOOL LOBBY TO SEE NEW UPDATES
As you enter the school, your eyes are immediately drawn to the TV monitor ahead of you to watch a slideshow of current photos, provided by Leslie Elliott and Claudette McCarron of the Publicity and Yearbook Committees, and updated by Mrs. Toland (School Secretary). The children get so excited to see themselves on TV. Next to the TV is a wall of photos entitled Beaumont Spirit that were recently updated by Claudette McCarron with photos from Peace Day of the whole school and each grade, plus photos Celebrating Beaumont's 50th Anniversary. Every month, the Beaumont Bear, display case and bulletin board are updated by Carey Gillis and Elena Williamson of the Indoor Beautification Committee. Let's not forget the Outdoor Beautification of Beaumont, where gardening needs are taken care of by Julie Devuono and Maureen Aneser.
