MISSIONS FOCUS MORNING:

Join us Sunday, October 11 at 9:15 am for stories of God's faithfulness to a special visiting missionary family, plus you'll hear stories from our short-term missionaries from this summer. Our children will also enjoy a missions focus in their class, as they'll meet real missionary kids and hear stories of God's work around the world.
Special Events
Keith & Kristyn Getty Concert: Spread the word about the exciting opportunity to hear the Gettys perform live tomorrow Friday, October 9 at 7:15 pm at Old Fort Baptist Church (10505 Dorchester Rd., 29483). Get more info here.

Night of Worship: The Downtown and James Island Community Groups invite everyone to a church-wide music-filled worship service with songs and stories on Tuesday, October 13 at the church. If you have a story from the storm to share about God's protection, mercy, and faithfulness, please contact Gray Morgan to be added to the list. Bring finger foods to share for the fellowship portion starting at 6 pm. Then join us in the sanctuary at 7 for music, worship, and stories. Children are welcome at this event; there are no nursery workers provided, but the nursery rooms will be open.

Get Involved
Helping Flood Victims: The need in our state is great after such an epic disaster. Here are two ways linked to Redeemer that you can donate:
  • Mission to North America (the PCA's missions arm here at home) is working with churches in all affected presbyteries. At least 50 PCA members’ homes were flooded resulting in their displacement and at least one congregation has lost their place of worship; almost 100% are without flood insurance. They anticipate this number to grow as more churches and presbyteries report.  The number of PCA families directly impacted by this disaster is substantial and certainly among the highest in our history from one disaster. Give at this link.
  • The home of our former members Brad & Mandy Martin (who now live in Columbia) was flooded this past weekend. Donate to them at this link.
Host an International Family: Mission of Hope Bolivia is a medical ministry that is sending a three-year-old girl, Diana, and her mother, Carla, to Charleston where the child will receive a cochlear implant surgery from a generous ENT physician at MUSC. Diana and Carla will need places to stay, assistance with transportation, and assistance with interpretation. They will be here from November-January in order for Diana to receive appropriate post-op care and therapy. Please contact Olivia Hines at 601-613-3383 if you feel called to help with this amazing opportunity.

Women's Prayer Watch: The Lord has delivered us so that we may take an active role in seeing His Kingdom grow here in Charleston. If your heart desires to cry out to the Lord for Redeemer--its leaders, ministries, missionaries, marriages, young adults at school and home, our neighborhood, city, nation, and the church universal, come join us on the sanctuary floor the second Saturday of every month from 7-9 am. We long to see more of His Kingdom come; join us this Saturday, October 10.

For this Sunday
Christian-Education Classes: Kids and youth will meet in Fellowship Hall for their Missions Focus Morning, and adults will gather in the sanctuary to hear from a special visiting missionary family. We'll pick up next week with the Story of God.

Worship: Despite massive flooding downtown, our church building remained unharmed! Lord willing, we'll gather as usual this Sunday. Craig will preach in our Deuteronomy sermon series from Chapter 22. View Sunday's bulletin here.
