Pumpkins!

Put This On Your Pumpkin!

We know you love to play with your food, and we do too. We're always on the lookout for new flavor combinations, and this month we turn our attention to pumpkin. The classic combination dubbed pumpkin pie spice has long reigned supreme, but there is much more that can be done with this stupendous squash. Remember, you don’t have to use a blend for it’s 'intended' purpose. One recipe can go a long way if you're willing to explore. Read on for new flavor ideas, and boldly spice!
Southwest Pumpkin Soup
The robust flavor of pumpkin needs equally bold spice flavors to stand up to it. For savory pumpkin dishes, you can achieve perfect pairings with the flavors of Latin America, like we did in this fabulous Southwest Pumpkin Soup seasoned with our Chorizo Bomb. Many of our rich, deep blends will also do the trick and treat, like Harissa or Ancho Chili Powder and Berbere

Adobo Pumpkin Seeds
For even more flavor, you can whip up a batch of these Adobo Pumpkin Seeds using our Adobo  spice blend. Use them as a soup topper or a great snack on their own. For a slightly sweeter version, Pumpkin Pie Spice is a classic.

Pumpkin Rolls
Speaking of sweet, the flavors of pumpkin have always lent themselves well to desserts and other sweet snacks so we used Kashmiri Garam Masala to add some INCREDiBLE layers of flavor to these  Pumpkin Rolls. These are up for recipe of the year.

And on a final note, we would be remiss if we failed to mention that the Chorizo Bomb and Adobo blends used in this week’s new recipes are both featured in our This Little Piggy gift set. Yes, the spice elves are working overtime already.

Happy Cooking! From all of us at World Spice.
