Welcome to the latest issue opportunities for L&Q residents - the newsletter that lets you know what's going on in your area this Autumn.
All these opportunities are supported by the L&Q Foundation. The Foundation aims to help communities and improve people's life chances.
With the half-term school holidays around the corner, the L&Q Foundation has continued its work with Charlton Athletic Football Club to provide free school holiday activities for young people.
Over the summer, more than 8,000 young people took part in the activities on offer, and there will be more of the same this half-term. With such things as sports, arts, crafts, music works shops and self-defence; there’ll be something for everyone.

On Thursday 29 October 2015 L&Q, along with a number of partners, will be hosting the Momentum 2015 Youth Conference. This event is targeted at 10 to 19-year-olds and seeks to raise career aspirations, promote wellbeing and teach life skills. The aim is to promote successful outcomes areas such as careers, education and relationship.
The conference will have stalls providing information for young people and a carefully selected series of workshops from 10am to 1pm. This will be followed by a free lunch and then an afternoon of live performances by a mix of professionals and local talent.
A highlight will be the presentation of the Community Achievement Awards by the Mayor of Croydon, Patricia Hay-Justice, with the event co-hosted by Remel London and Kae Kurd. There'll also be a number of guest speakers who will act as positive role models for the young people in attendance.
