Dear Ross Juniors FC Supporter

A bit of housekeeping to start off with:
  • There is a lost property box in the entrance hall of the Sports Centre. Please see below for details
  • We have second-hand boots for sale. Again, see below for details
  • The Winter Menu in Sports Centre during weekends will include Sausage Rolls and Soup to warm you up
  • Please please please ALWAYS park at the top car park. It really is not that far to walk and means that we are avoiding any potential accidents. Just to give you a perspective, we had over 350 people down there last Saturday only
  • Training after half term will take place at JKHS. Your manager will advise further
  • Do you want to get more involved with the Club? Just let us know, we are sure to find you a role!
Many thanks

The RJFC Committee
Lost Property
We have a lost property box located in the entrance hall of the Sports Centre. The items currently there include hoodies of various makes and sizes, coats, water bottles, hats and tracksuit bottoms. Some of these have been there for many months.

All these will be given to charity or binned if nobody claims them by 18th October.
Second-hand boots
You might have noticed the box with second-hand boots and trainers. These have kindly been donated by our players and are for sale at £5 each (o.n.o. - feel free to haggle with the bar staff!). Some of them are in great condition. The sizes include: 13.5, 1, 3, 4, 5. There are some pairs without sizes on them so come and have a rummage through.

If your personal circumstances are such that it would help you to get a FREE pair of boots for your child, please speak to your manager in confidence or email Vanda (vandako@aol.com).
Golf Day

Ross Juniors U15s are hoping to embark on a overseas football tour to France in May 2016. To help subsidise the cost of the tour, the boys and managers are undertaking a number of fundraising events, the first of which is a planned Golf day to be held at Bells Golf Club, Coleford on the Friday October 30th.

For more info please click
here or email Neil Vanstone - neilvanstone78@hotmail.co.uk. Anybody who wants to take part is welcome!

The U15s are our only boys team playing in a higher league as they didn't find the Herefordshire league challenging enough. To see them in action contact Neil for fixtures.
Rugby World Cup
We won't be showing the matches at Sports Centre as planned now due to England failing to get through from their group.

Ladies Team

We have been asked by some ex players about forming a ladies football team. In many ways this would be a great opportunity for the club and provide us with a pathway for all our junior girl players to join when old enough. Our girls section has blossomed in the last 4 years and to have a ladies section would be brilliant. At this stage we are seeing what the interest is, so if you would like to get involved as a player, coach, sponsor or helper please let Paul know on paulflitney@gmail.com

Under 8 girls tournament success

The club hosted 6 under 8 teams on Sunday 4th October in an official Herefordshire Girls League Tournament. There were 33 players attending and over 100 parents and spectators. The morning saw lots of great football, enthusiasm and fun from the very excited players, some as young as 5. Ross Juniors girls came top winning 5 out of 5 games, scoring 17 and conceding just 1 goal.
