THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW...
Everyone: Please wear your new WMS T-shirt!!
Douglas Ave. will be closed 3:00-4:30 PM. You will not be able to enter or exit our parking lot by car--only on foot. Off-campus parking is available across Douglas Ave., in the NW corner of Hillside Christian Church's lot (you may access this lot from Tara Street), and on adjacent neighborhood streets. If you do not want your child to participate in the parade, please pick up your child from the classroom between 2:30 and 2:45 PM. (K-5 will be at a pep-rally in the HS gym until that time.)
AM PRIMARY
Your child's day is normal. If you want her to participate in the parade, please return the child to school by 2:45 PM.
EXTENDED-DAY PRIMARY - 5TH YEAR ELEMENTARY
>Please bring a totally disposable lunch--bags are coming home today in GO HOME FOLDERS
>No backpacks or band instruments on Friday, please
We hope to have everything each child needs with the child when we leave the building, so that it is not necessary to return after the parade.
2:00 PM Pep Assembly (K-5 only)
3:45 PM Parade Down Douglas - All students and teachers walk the parade route, showing our school spirit and cheering for the Panthers to win their football game against Belle Plaine Dragons (Douglas Ave. will be closed from 3:00-4:30 PM)
Parents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to watch the parade, and to fill the entire parade route from the school lot all along the way east to Mrs. Garvey's house.
Where do I find my child after the parade? We will have our Wichita Montessori Sign positioned mid-way between the parking lot exit and the entrance. Parents, please leave the area by the road open for the students when they return from the parade, so that they can see what's going on. Following the parade, parents collect their children, and either enjoy more Homecoming activities together, or begin your weekend as you wish. NOTE: THERE IS NO AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM OR PANTHER CARE ON HOMECOMING DAY, SO ALL CHILDREN MUST BE COLLECTED IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE PARADE, approximately 4:15 PM.
4:30 PM Fun events on the grass field, such as Cupcake Wars, Inflatables, Dunk Tanks, Face Painting, Kona Ice (Please remember to bring cash. Most items/activities are $1.)
5:00 PM BBQ supper, sponsored by TIS Booster Club, pulled pork dinner provided by Texas Roadhouse BBQ, $5 per person (cash only)
7:00 PM Football game, TIS vs. Belle Plaine

IT'S CHILLY IN THE MORNINGS, AND WARMER IN THE AFTERNOONS. CHILDREN COME TO SCHOOL WITH JACKETS & SWEATERS, AND THEN REMOVE THEM. PLEASE BE SURE TO MARK ALL OUTER WEAR WITH YOUR CHILD'S NAME, SO THAT CHILDREN RETURN HOME WITH THE SAME JACKETS THEY WORE TO SCHOOL. Thank you!
