The TLA is built on a strong foundation with deep roots in BC's coastal communities where our timber harvesting contractors live and work.

We have developed a strategic plan to serve our members and the coastal communities they live and work in through to 2017.

TLA Mayoral Dinner at UBCM
The TLA Mayoral Dinner was a rousing success once again with the TLA hosting 32 civic leaders from BC’s coastal communities.

After the delicious meal, TLA President, Don Banasky, and David Elstone, Executive Director, spoke to the room about how these community leaders could support and benefit from their local forest industry.

BC’S COASTAL MAYORS RE-EXAMINE LOG EXPORT POLICY
September 24, Vancouver – The Truck Loggers Association hosted 32 civic leaders from BC’s coastal communities on Tuesday evening to discuss UBCM Resolution B36 Re-Examine Log Export Policy and how the BC coastal forest industry supports their communities.

TLA gave $45,000 to build new Loon Lake dining hall
The TLA is pleased to announce that the dining hall at Loon Lake Camp, part of the UBC Malcolm Knapp Research Forest, is built and fully operational! Find out more here.
 
Networking Event Success
The TLA Networking Event in Nanaimo was a great success. The food was delicious, the speakers were interesting and the networking was second to none.

National Forest Week Art Contest for Kids!
This is a chance for children to draw a picture answering the question, "What does the forest mean to you?" Winners in each of three age groups (4-5, 6-8, 9-12) will receive a $50 Chapters gift card. Submissions must be post marked October 19th or earlier.

Do you have kids or grandkids? This is a great opportunity to talk to them about what you do and what the forest means to their community.
