The MiKiDo team has a busy few months ahead of us so be sure to stay up to date with us on all things MiKiDo this fall!  October 24th at the Royal Farms Arena MiKiDo Pro Fighter Alvin Mercer will be returning to the octagon to compete in Shogun Fights 13!  Tickets are available for sale at the MiKiDo facilities (3443 Carlin Springs Rd, Bailey's Crossroads, VA, 22041) so be sure to come out and support the MiKiDo Competition Team and enjoy a night of spectacular performances by professional MMA athletes! Tickets will only be available until this Thursday (10/22), so make plans to come and make it happen!

Our 2015 Holiday Show and Toy Drive will take place on Saturday, December 19th, 2015. As always we will be doing our annual Toy Drive for The Alternative House (www.thealternativehouse.org) for children in our direct community that are either living without parents or that could simply use some assistance. Some of the children as with every year, will be in attendance for the show so please come, introduce yourself, and have a great time. This annual holiday show will host some performances from the MiKiDo team, including performances by the MiKiDo Black Belts and MiKiDo Future Champ kids class.  This is also the last belt test of the year so make sure you are working on your belt material and preparing to advance to the next level before the new year!

The Simple Grill Story (Message from Chef Ed):
After years of working as an executive chef in restaurants across the DC, MD, and VA area an idea was born. Simple Grill began with the need to deliver healthy food to a client who was coming back from a leg injury. I was also rehabbing a broken tibia plateau, so she and I ate the same foods during our recovery for breakfast, lunch and dinner. About two months later, while delivering the last of her meals for the week, I was met at the door by Mrs. Recine. We talked for about 30 minutes and she raved about the food. She stated that Simple Grill's diet and light exercise kept her in good health; she also lost a healthy 10lbs during her recovery. This inspired me and soon after I was cooking for group workout challenges and athletes training for the NFL combine.
