The eSojourner

Chalice Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

On the first Sunday in October, protestant denominations around the world celebrate communion and intentionally recognize that there is only one Church, though we take many different forms. For us Disciples, who have an open table and share communion every Sunday, this practice doesn't seem quite so unusual. Still, we join in the celebration of this day with followers of Jesus around the globe.
We're happy to welcome long-term volunteers from Global Ministries to Chalice at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 15th. Doug Smith and Katie Moyer will be speaking about their work in Mexico on behalf the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). You're invited!

We host IHELP this Saturday night. If you're providing food, please have it at the church by 6 p.m. We'll start set-up at 5:30.

A Few Notes:
  • Sign up Sunday for our Hawaiian Pot Luck Luncheon on October 18th!
  • Over the next few weeks, you'll notice some different and mismatched communion ware. One of our chalices has a leak. It will take several weeks to get a replacement, so enjoy the variety in the meantime!
