Projects

Faunalytics is a small team of nonprofit market researchers for animals. Formerly known as the Humane Research Council, the organization changed its name and launched a new website (faunalytics.org) in May 2015. They are seeking a web developer with WordPress/LAMP experience to make ongoing enhancements to the site and respond to time-sensitive bugs as they arise. Optionally, this person could also take on the basics of site management like WP core and plugin updates, theme upgrades, security scans, offsite backup, etc. The organization would ideally like to find one or more committed volunteers, but is also able to pay modest rates for some of the work. Contact: che@faunalytics.org

The Northern California Animal Advocacy Coalition (NCAAC) is looking for a (few) good Drupal developer(s). NCAAC’s goal is to help foster and develop grassroots animal advocacy groups work more effectively and cooperatively. They need help setting up a site with a directory of animal advocacy organizations, vegan-owned businesses, resources for animal advocacy groups, a calendar of events, and forums.

Custom content type creation, working with Views, and responsive design experience will be awesome skills to have. The aim is to use existing modules to accomplish site goals, which should eliminate the need for backend development.

There is potential for monetary compensation. Contact ecofriend@yahoo.com.

mydogiscool.com

We’re looking for website support. To keep the site updated, backed up, fix  broken  links,  etc.  and  someone  I  can  go  to  when  I’m  having  trouble  figuring  something  out  or would like  to make  bigger  changes  to  the  site.  Someone I can call should the site go down and someone who can keep us  apprised  of  new  features  that we  should  consider adding  to improve  the  site. It seems this would only be a few hours per month.  Contact info@mydogiscool.com.

World Veg Festival

World Veg Fest (which is this weekend in SF) needs help updating their site: www.worldvegfestival.com/2015.  Their volunteer webmaster is on vacation.
