Toe-Tapping News
October 2015
It's going to be nothing but delight as I head back to Indiana for a weekend. I'm going for a conference but couldn't pass up the opportunity to make music while I was there. Not only that, but I get to spend an October weekend in Metamora. I'm telling you, it just doesn't get any better than that!
Headed Back to Indiana
Being in Metamora gives me the chance to join my dear friends Rick and Holly Garrett for a Saturday-Sunday combo of music and fun.
On Saturday, October 10, Rick, Holly, and I, a.k.a. Unbroken Circle, will be playing at The Cat and the Fiddle Event Center in Metamora. It promises to be a stellar evening filled with good food, good music, and a lot of laughs. Seating is limited, and reservations are strongly recommended.
Contact The Cat and the Fiddle to claim your spot.
Then on Sunday, October 11, Larry Wayt will join us in one of my absolute favorite places to play, the Methodist Church there in Metamora. Music is in the wood and the walls of that sanctuary, and every time I've played there, I've had a goosebumps kind of experience. No reservations are needed for this worship service in song.
Ziggie's Live Music, Denver
On October 22, I'll play my first solo show at
Ziggie's Live Music in northwest Denver. I've sat in with Brian Keith Wallen on two occasions when he has played there, and I'm looking forward to a chance to pick the blues at Ziggie's.
Shaker Reunion
The highlight of September was a return to Kentucky for a reunion of members of the University of Kentucky Choristers who sang in
A Shaker Worship Service at the Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill, Ky. The reunion marked the 35th anniversary of the original performance and the 90th birthday of the group's director.
Sara's Story
Many of you know that my main guitar is a D-28 named Sara, but not too many people know the back story.
