The big news is the 'Eudunda Show Program' (Booklet) is printed and out. It's looking very nice with lots of exciting things this year.

A big highlight over the next couple weeks will be the Local Open Gardens - see below.

Rain Showers & 2.4 ML Earthquake & Fires

What a week!

RAIN - Surprised to have a sudden rain shower come through as I finish off this news. 


EarthquakeDid you hear or feel the earthquake October 3rd?
Jae Dalgleish out at Bower reported that it was quite strong, and no wonder why. On investigating the Geoscience Australia websit shows that it was centred between Bower and Mt Mary about 4km down.

Fires - A big thank you to the CFS for managing first a fire at Brownlow and then another at Tarnma.over this long weekend. The weather was very hot and windy making it a risky time.
 

Eudunda Show 'Program' Printed and on website

The Eudunda Show has now available it's 'Show Program' & entry forms  PRINTED and available in the shops and also as PDF's on the website for anyone to download. Please spread the word about it so everyone can check out the rules and enter on time.

Roots ‘N’ Leaves – Inaugural Open Day – 10th Oct 2015

We wish local business all the best for their opening. Colin & Nerina Kirkman have amassed  over 600 Tall Bearded Irises for you to admire.

Light it Red for Dyslexia – 15th Oct 2015

The local DASLD group wish to promote the discussion of Dyslexia within the region and thier is currently an initiative to do this by asking everyone to "Light their area RED" on Oct 15th.
The 18th - 24th Oct will be dedicated to this awareness initiative.

Betty Gray's Open Iris Garden - 17th & 18th Oct

All Welcome to come see Betty's beautiful Tall Bearded Iris flowers over this weekend
Eudunda, 40 Bruce Street.
This is a fundraiser for the Eudunda Hospital Auxiliary
It’s great value with a donation of $5 including Mixed plate and bottomless Cup of Tea or Coffee.

Citizen of the Year ECBAT urge to Nominate.

As you go around at work or play in the region, you are bound to see people who work hard to better the community in some way. It may be volunteering for a service, an event or sport.  They have most likely done so for quite some time, never complained and always happily put their hand up to volunteer.
Here is your chance to Nominate outstanding work in the Community.

Citizen of the Year,
Young Citizen of the Year,
Community Event of the Year

Presentation of the awards will be at the Australia Day Breakfast on the 26th Jan 2016.
