Dear Mt. Pisgah family, This week I had the opportunity to attend the Leadership Institute at The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas. Our new District Superintendent, Pete Moon, encouraged pastors from the Richmond District to attend this training which draws clergy and laity from all over the United States and the world. It was a blessing to sit at the feet of so many gifted and capable leaders.
During this time, I was reminded that the Holy Spirit continues to work in and through the church to touch lives. The Holy Spirit continues to call women and men to share God's love through mission, witness, and worship. While we hear so much about decline, I believe we are being called to lead the church forward in this time of uncertainty.
I believe the Holy Spirit continues to move through Mt. Pisgah.
