This week the children have been learning the sounds, actions and formation for ‘c’ and ‘k’. The boys were able to dress up in Spanish clothing and do some Spanish Flamenco dancing whilst playing castanets and saying the sound c,k (both letters have the same sound) THEY HAD SO MUCH FUN!!
 

In year 2 Science we are learning about Habitat. We decided to build a bug hotel to help us learn about mini beast habitats. The boys really enjoyed the project and we keep going back to the bug hotel to see if it has encouraged any new mini beasts. 
 

On Wednesday Year 3 led Elmhurst’s Harvest Assembly for the school and parents. The boys told us about how harvest is celebrated across different times and places, including the UK, the USA, Asian countries and Ancient Egypt. They made and brought in traditional decorations including fruit and flowers, which we have also used for learning about the life cycle of plants in science.

Year 4 have been thoroughly enjoying their Forest School sessions this term and have been sharing their views on their favourite things about Forest School.
