You are invited to come and “Celebrate Our Youth†at the 4th Annual Youth Conference Presented by Neo Jazz School of Music and the Nation of YHWH Saturday October 3rd!
The Neo Jazz School of Music has been providing education and training in the music and fine arts since 2004. Since its inception, our work has been to provide programs and services to low-income communities with limited access to arts education, filling the gap left by the decline of arts programming in public schools. NJSM successfully provides a platform for gifted young musicians and artists to express their talents in a positive environment by facilitating culturally enriched programs and events. We are pleased to announce our upcoming 4th Annual Youth Conference.
This year’s event marks the second installment of the Youth Conference and is also the fourth regional installment established by our major sponsor the Nation of YHWH. Our goals are to celebrate our youth, to support our youth in artistic expression, teach the history of jazz and popular music and build a bridge with community leaders in order to improve our community.
The 4th Annual Youth Conference will take place on Saturday October 3, 2015 from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm at our new home at 1683 N. Claiborne Avenue New Orleans. We will present a concert featuring regionally touring artists, local youth performances as well as serving as a space for local support agencies to present their services.
