"Birth should not be a celebration of separation, but rather a reuniting of mother and baby, who joins her for an external connection."
--Barbara Latterner, New Lives
It is International Babywearing Week and we have some beautiful new babywearing mama goddess sculptures to unveil.
We have a fun little contest to go with our October freebie! Share a picture of your coloring page on Instagram (tag @brigidsgrove) or on Facebook and whichever picture gets the most likes before the end of Babywearing Week will win a free sculpture in the design and color of your choice.

At the end of September, we had a Brigid's Grove booth at Gaea Goddess Gathering in Kansas. I couldn't have done it without babywearing!
Newsletter Frequency
As Brigid's Grove grows, we've realized it makes sense to send out more than one newsletter per month, rather than trying to stuff all of our news and updates into one! We will still send out a monthly freebie gift and themed newsletter, but we will also be sending out additional, more specialized newsletters when we have specific information to share or announcements to make.
Upcoming Courses
We still have some open spaces in our upcoming Listening to the Deep Self divination practicum program coming up online at the end of this month. This is a powerful, immersive experience and I'm so excited to embark on the adventure with the participants who've joined in!
Our Practicum explores several other special tools as well: a pendulum, Goddess Runes, Magpie Oracles, and more.
Other News
At the end of September, I was a guest on Goddess Alive Radio with Kimberly Moore of Motherhouse of the Goddess talking about my dissertation research and also about Womanrunes. Even though I've worked with Womanrunes for several years and spent 18 months writing a book about how to use them, I continue to learn new things about them all the time! What became really clear to me over the last two months, as I spoke on Goddess Alive radio and also during two virtual Red Tent events for Journey of Young Women, is that what makes Womanrunes so special is how useable they are. I love divination cards and have many lovely sets that I enjoy using, but nothing compares to being able to write them into being the way you can with Womanrunes! They are meant to be used, not simply contemplated. Women ink them onto their bodies (temporarily or permanently!), carve them onto drum frames, draw them onto bedsheets to cover tired postpartum women, and seek daily centering guidance from them. Womanrunes become a living language for you, a way of communicating your own wisdom as well as making statements about that which you wish to draw closer to your life.
