"BEGINNINGS stands by us"

We are the Evans family.  We began our journey with hearing loss when our then 5-year-old had a hearing screening during kindergarten and failed. We went to a local ENT and audiologist and he was given hearing aids. It wasn't until 3 years later when our 4th son was born that we would learn our first born was not the only one with a hearing loss. We were referred to BEGINNINGS and were assigned a parent educator. She quickly pointed us in all of the right directions to get our two boys the proper care they needed. During that time we learned that our 3rd son also has a hearing loss. If you lost count, that's 3 out of our 4 boys who have a permanent hearing loss that requires the use of hearing aids. They all have a sensorineural loss from an unknown origin. BEGINNINGS has been wonderful and without their support I'm not sure we would have been able to acquire the fabulous support from the rest of our team, our ENT, audiologist, therapists and coordinator. BEGINNINGS stands by us to make sure we have all the tools we need to make sure our children have equal access to hearing.
