Walk to School Day is October 7th 2015

WEDNESDAY, October 7th is International Walk-to-School Day”!   Once again Glendale schools are taking part in this fun and healthy annual event (along with schools from across the United States and the world!).  Walking to school on October 7th is a great way to be a part of a global event that promotes healthy activity, builds community, and improves air quality.   Walk-to-School Day encourages all of our students and families to consider a regular routine of WALKING to school as a positive and healthy alternative to driving.
This is our 5th Annual city-wide event, sponsored by the City of Glendale, Glendale Unified School District, Glendale Council PTA and WALK BIKE GLENDALE as part of the City of Glendale’s Safe Routes to School Program.
If you would like to volunteer to be part of this event, please contact your school’s Principal or PTA Leaders.
For more information, please contact Kara Sergile at kara@kwsconsult.com or 818-424-3228.
