Important registration and location info for Alliance October 7th meeting
At our upcoming meeting on Wednesday, October 7, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., we are hosting the SIM learning team discussion on Multi-Disciplinary Teams organized by Rainbow Research. This will bring together CHWs, Community Paramedics, their supervisors, and others who are interested in advancing multi-disciplinary team-based approaches to help achieve health equity and the Triple Aim.
Location: Allina Education Building, 821 East 26th Street, Auditorium A, Minneapolis (note new location!!!)
Parking: Metered street parking as well as adjacent ramps and lots including Piper Lot at E 26th and South 10th Ave

FREE Training on Behavioral Health & Integrative Modalities for CHWs, CHW Students, and CHW Supervisors on Nov. 9
Registration forthcoming for free one-day training by Joan King of the National Center for Behavioral Health. This program will take place at the Minnesota Church Center, 122 W Franklin Ave, Minneapolis on Monday, November 9th. Sponsored by the MN CHW Alliance in partnership with WellShare and the MN CHW Peer Network with a grant from the Catalyst Initiative of the George Family Foundation.

Research Announcement
MN CHW Survey Report Now Available
WellShare International, along with its partner the Minnesota Community Health Worker Peer Network, and in association with the Minnesota Community Health Worker Alliance, is pleased to release the summary report of Perspectives on the Community Health Worker Workforce.
Community health workers from across Minnesota provided information on CHW characteristics such as education and certificate completion; features of CHW jobs including service activities, work locations, and support to special populations; and training interests. The study was funded by the Otto Bremer Foundation.

Region V CHW Summit in Chicago
October 30-31
Representatives from Region V (Great Lakes) states have organized a two-day regional summit for CHWs and stakeholders on October 30-31 in Chicago, immediately preceding the APHA conference. For more info and to register, visit https://www.regonline.com/regionvchwsummit
Hotel accommodations for the Region V CHW Summit are available at the Hilton Chicago Magnificent Mile Suites Hotel (198 E Delaware Pl, Chicago, IL 60611). The hotel is a 10 minute or less bus ride on Magnificent Mile to Summit Venues and 1 block from world class shopping.
