From the Chair:
• Thank you, our wonderful UMass journos! What a year it’s been, and we’re only a few months in! Student involvement in department events and programs is at an all-time high, and you are showing all of UMass and our community what makes UMass Journalism so special. It’s our students, faculty, staff and alumni. And it’s the integrity, courage, vision, spirit and commitment to the public good that is part of what you do and who you are every day.
•
Don’t forget to attend our big event today at 4 p.m. in the Amherst Room, 10th floor of the Campus Center. Mona Eltahawy, an award-winning journalist, columnist and writer, will deliver UMass Journalism’s lecture in the SBS Social Science Matters Lecture Series on Resistance: “
The Double Revolution: Women, the Middle East and Global Feminism.” See you there!
