Tri-Adventure October Newsletter

Dear <<First Name>>

When I put together last month’s Newsletter, I mentioned that it looked like Summer was nearly over.  Well, I think we have been lucky with such a long spell of good weather extending in to October.  A busy period of 3 events  in 4 weeks saw all of our events have glorious sunshine!

On 13 September, we ran the Hurtleberry.

The weather on race day was quite stunning in The Hurtwood. This Off-Road Duathlon and Trail Run was raising funds for Friends of the Hurtwood and saw near perfect conditions attracting quite a few sign up on the day making it quite a fast competitive event.  The full Event Report, Results and Photos can all be found on our website.  We even had a couple of dogs taking their owners round the 10k course, and everyone really seemed to enjoy the day.  It was great to see so many family members supporting the participants, and there was a real buzz around the “village”.  We are already planning for a bigger Hurtleberry event again in October 2016 so keep an eye out for the date.

Later in the month, on Sunday, 27 September, we kicked off our Autumn Series with an Event at Cranleigh.  Again, what a beautiful day it turned out to be!  It was good to see the popularity of these Adventure events gradually increasing, with some “old” Tri-Adventurers dusting down their Loyalty Cards and coming back to us after one or two years’ absence.  And yes, we’ll honour all Loyalty Points that may have been collected under the previous ownership.  A full Event Report, Results and photos can be found by here

Into October, and so far this month, we have had the second event in our Autumn series of Adventure Races.  This event took place on Sunday 11th October in Tilford on yet another dry sunny day.  There was some close competition with many finishing on the same number of points and only their time deciding places. Again the Tilford Race Report with Photos and Results can be found on our results page here.

(3/3)Autumn Series:  4 hr Experience, 2 hr Sprint, and 2 hr Trail
The NEXT EVENT will be the conclusion of our Autumn Adventure Race Series and will take place on Sunday 22nd November in Albury.  More details can be found on the event page here.  It will be great to see a good turnout.

Winter Series on it's way:  4 hr Experience, 2 hr Sprint, and 2 hr Trail
The events can also be entered on our events calendar here.

Whilst we’re focusing on dates, I can also confirm that the WHITELEY VILLAGE RACES will again take place next year.  This Charity Event, which is run to raise funds for Whiteley Village, will take place on Sunday 5 June 2016.  There will be signed 5k and 10k runs, and a 5k Obstacle Challenge.  So, another date for your diaries!

I am in the process of finalising dates for AR Events fort the whole of 2016, and these will be ready in the next couple of weeks, so keep an eye out for these on our website.

Shows and Exhibitions
We will be exhibiting at the London Triathlon Show at London Excel (11-14 February 2016), and at the National Triathlon Show at the Lee Valley Velodrome (9-10 April).  So do come along and have a chat with us on the Stand.

That’s it for this month!  Do keep the comments and suggestions coming, and keep supporting our various Events.

Yours in Adventuring,

Adam
