Maher Duessel Renews as Advocate for Good Government
Sponsor of Newly Elected Officials Course

Local Government Academy recognizes and thanks Maher Duessel for renewing their support as Advocates for Good Government at the Benefactor Level and becoming a sponsor of the 2015-2016 Newly Elected Officials Course. Maher Duessel is a long-time LGA supporter, sponsoring both the Newly Elected Officials Course and Contemplating Governing in recent years.

The current Advocates for Good Government campaign is ongoing. Benefactors pledging their support before October 31, 2015 are included in the Newly Elected Officials Course invitation. Opening Day for the 2015-2016 Newly Elected Officials Course is Saturday, November 21, 2015, at the Pittsburgh Marriott City Center. New for the 2015-16 Advocates for Good Government campaign is the option to become an Advocate online. Click here to access our new online Advocate form!

The 2015-2016 Newly Elected Officials Course begins Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015. Candidates for local office are encouraged to register online now, with no obligation to attend if they are unsuccessful in the Nov. 3, General Election. Click here for complete details and how to register for the courseCandidates also are encouraged to sign the Pledge to Excellence, stating their commitment to attend the Newly Elected Officials Course if successful in their bid for office.
