Have You Joined the PTSA?

Our goal is to reach 100% membership - where each child at the school has an adult advocating for them. We are just 90 members shy of reaching our goal. Please consider going online or filling out the membership form that came home in the back to school packets and bringing it with you to curriculum night. You can also download a new form from the PTSA website.

Why join the PTSA?
Join one of the largest volunteer organizations that advocate for our kids. And as a bonus get our school directory with the current class lists as well as other school

3.  How do I join?
There are two ways to join:
Option A: Go online to our PTSA website by clicking here or the red button above. After filling out the form, click on the "Store" tab to pay for the membership you wish to purchase.
Option B: Fill out a paper form (download one online from our school PTSA site), attach a check made out to Spiritridge PTSA, and drop it off at school.

If you joined the PTSA but did not get your membership card or still have questions, please email membership@spiritridge.org.

 Vision Screening Volunteers Needed

Vision screenings will be conducted on Tuesday, October 20th.  Our school nurse, Tammy Suen, is seeking parent volunteers to assist with screenings, escorting students to and from class, recording results and managing students in and out of the screening.  There will be ample explanation that morning to ensure all volunteers can choose a job they feel comfortable doing.

Screening will take place from 9:00am - 2:00pm.  Most volunteers are needed right at 9am, but times are are flexilble so stay as long as you are able.  Please meet in the nurse's office when you arrive.

If you are able to volunteer, you will find a link to the sign up here.

Thank You - Family Night at Wayback Burgers

A big thank you to all who were able to make it out to Wayback Burgers for our first family night fundraiser.  It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces there.

We had about 95 families show up to dine in or take out, earning the school about $250.00 in donations.  Thank you to Ben Lee, owner of Wayback Burgers, for increasing that amount to $300.00.  Also, thank you to Sheryl Pinheiro and Susie Pietz for organizing this great event.

Be on the lookout for more information on our next dining fundraiser next month at California Pizza Kitchen.  More details to follow soon.  For questions or comments regarding Spiritridge fundraisers, email fundraising@spiritridge.org.
