September was a busy month. I had a total knee replacement and used my time off work to spend more time in the ministry of Abundant Life Church. We were excited to have our first small group at Meadow Ridge! We are looking forward to getting to know these residents like we have had the pleasure of doing at Lakota Pointe.
Lisa attended a coaching event at Lakota Hills Baptist Church that will come in handy as she speaks into these ladies lives to help them with their relationships.
We were blessed to have been able to share our mission statement and vision with a group from the Kentucky Baptist Convention. We hope to work with some of these churches at some point as we continue to plant Abundant Life Church.

Lakota Pointe
We continue to have our small group meetings twice a month. We would love to see more residents attend but we trust that in God's perfect timing we will see growth. We have encouraged the ladies that have faithfully attended to invite their neighbors. We look forward to the day when we have a man attend! When you think of Abundant Life Church please pray that men would join us. We are averaging 22 (including our volunteers) each month.
Our highlight this month was having the opportunity to talk with a young lady about baptism. Zi'Arre 's family had attended a worship service with us at Lakota Hills Baptist Church and saw someone getting baptized. She said she wanted to get baptized too. We met and I explained that baptism was an outward sign of an inward change. Upon talking with her I realized that she had never asked Christ to forgive her of her sins and make Him the Lord of her life. We were able to pray with her and rejoice with her decision to follow Christ. She is getting baptized on October 13, praise God!

Heritagesprings of West Chester
We averaged 43 residents at chapel at Heritagesprings in September. We had people spilling over into the hall! The aide said we could consider meeting in the dining hall to better accommodate the residents but there isn't a piano there. Since singing is the highlight for several of them we will continue to use the chapel until we get to a point that they won't be able to participate. It is such a blessing to get to worship with these men and women!

Meadow Ridge and North Pointe
We had our first small group on September 1 and was excited about the turnout. Since this was our first time gathering we had pizza in hopes to entice more people to come.
We had 3 ladies say they were coming and bringing their 8 children. That evening we had another woman come that we weren't expecting, pretty cool. What was even cooler was that two of the ladies invited their neighbor to join them. We ended up having 6 ladies and 11 children at that first small group! The ladies were very engaged and looked forward to future small group meetings. We ended up averaging 21 (volunteers included). We will continue to look for opportunities to build new relationships and deepen relationships with those who are currently attending.

- That we would look for, recognize, and create ways to get the Gospel message to the lost people in these multi-housing areas

- Balancing work, ministry and family

Support our Ministry
We appreciate ALL support for the ministry, we can't do it without the help of others. If you are able to financially support us we would be eternally grateful!!
You can support our ministry in three different ways:
PRAYING
A praying partner commits to praying specifically for my wife and I, our ministry, and our multi-housing residents. Prayer support is vital for us as we serve on the field!
PARTICIPATING
A participating partner commits to becoming involved personally in our ministry. For example, your church may want to send mission teams to assist us or seek to mobilize individuals within your church to be sent as short or long term missionaries as part of our planting team.
PROVIDING
A providing partner commits to supporting our ministry financially. All funds will be handled and deposited by our NAMB strategic partner, Lakota Hills Baptist Church in West Chester, Ohio. All donations are tax deductible. Please make checks payable to Lakota Hills Baptist Church. Be sure to include "Allen Lawless" on the memo line.
