COME HELP US CELEBRATE THE BUFFALO!

Friday, October 23rd is fast approaching and, while we have had great response so far, we're asking all BRWA supporters to pull out the stops and help us pack the house and make this event a resounding success! Funds raised at this event will be crucial to our many ongoing efforts to preserve and protect our beloved Buffalo. Here are some things you can do to help:

And most of all, please come join us and bring your friends and family! There will be great music, great food, complimentary beverages, two HUGE silent auctions, a wonderful program and more.

Brief News Items

1. Defendants (Small Business Administration and Farm Service Agency) requested a 90-day extension, until March 1, 2016, to comply with the court ordered new Environmental Assessment. The extension was requested due to the "unexpectedly large volume of public comments on the draft EA". 1,858 public comments were submitted. The court has granted the extension.

2. In spite of what you may have read in the newspaper, your BRWA did not request pond liners be installed at C&H. BRWA continues to assert that the only safe solution is removal of the hog factory from the Buffalo River Watershed.
