Judy's Official Welcome
Judy the wrapped car.......you heard about me briefly last month....
Hi, my name is Judy and I am the newest member of the renovations team. They gave me a bright look and send me out to let everyone know who we are.
You will see me zipping around town getting looks and double takes.
All the folks at Renovations like to drive me around and show me off. Tom drives me around the most, but you will see Dee, Taylor and Rod driving around as well. Personally I think Taylor looks best behind the wheel.
Another of my jobs will be to keep a headlight on the monthly tips and announcements for our newsletter. Driving around gives me the opportunity to see what is going on and what needs doing.
Anyway write, email or call and let the folks in the office what you think of my new look, and don’t worry…my transmission can take it. Check out my first tip this month.
Bye for now!

Converting that Guest Bedroom into a Master Suite.....
This month we will get back to converting that guest bedroom into a master suite..
Homes typically constructed in the 70’s, 80’s and early nineties often have the bedrooms on one side of the house and living areas on the other. Since that time the trend has been to have living spaces more centrally located and the master suite on one side with the kid’s bedrooms on the other.
Those of us who have had their homes for 20 to 25+ years might be ready to expand that small master bath into an oasis that we really want. A shower big enough to turn around in without bumping into walls or the faucets. Maybe a drying area adjacent to the shower that affords enough room for your spouse to move about the bathroom without the congestion that we find in the typical 5’ wide by 8’ long bath.
Another facet of this era was smaller closets. Don’t know about you but storage is at a premium in our house!
At Renovations, we have converted several of these small baths and closets into much more luxurious spaces by simply expanding into an adjacent bedroom. That bedroom is probably 10 x 12 or so and that additional square footage will make a world of difference in how well you can use your master bath.
There are all manner of fixtures designed to enhance the spa-like atmosphere we can help you create. From multiple shower heads, to steam features, to soaking tubs. We can raise those 30” high vanity counter tops into something more suited for adults. Lighting these spaces is critical as, if you are like me, we need just a little more light these days.
We would love to meet you and discuss the possibilities that are hidden in your home.
Tom
