Message from the Directors

The Society for Neuroscience annual meeting is one of the biggest conferences for our community. This year in Chicago, you are very welcome to come and visit us in booth #2114, located in the funder's row. Are you working on an interesting project, or maybe looking for new collaborators? Come by and talk to us, and bring a colleague! Our booth has a comfortable sofa perfect for short spontaneous meetings. We also host demos of neuroinformatics tools in our booth, Sunday through Tuesday, see detailed schedule below.

On Sunday October 18, you can meet us at the SfN-sponsored neuroinformatics social, or get an introduction to the Neurodata Without Borders data format.

Looking forward to meeting many of you at SfN!

One Mind is a US-based non-profit devoted to large-scale research on all diseases of the brain, with a focus on post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury. They are working with leading TBI centers across the US and EU, promoting open science and collaboration, and also support online communities and forums like PatientsLikeMe.

One Mind is funding the infrastructure components that INCF coordinates for the large CENTER-TBI project (“Collaborative European NeuroTrauma Effectiveness Research in TBI”)  that aims to improve the care for patients with TBI and identify the most effective clinical interventions for managing TBI. INCF is the lead coordinator for the development of standards and development and deployment of the informatics platform, in close cooperation with One Mind and partners in the CENTER-TBI consortium. Representatives for this effort will be available in the INCF booth #2114 all meeting days - don't miss the demo on Monday October 19, 11:15 - 13:00.

One Mind recently launched the campaign "Brains need answers" to support their work in creating a collaborative model for neuroscience research and shorten the time required to find better diagnostics and treatments for PTS and TBI. Donate here.
