Public Private Partnerships Costing Countries Dearly 

New research from Jubilee Debt Campaign shows how the privatisation of Uganda's electricity sector, a condition of its debt relief, has cost the country $1 billion in subsidies and compensation for 'losses' to the private companies.

The IMF continues to call for debt relief for Greece putting the agency at odds with many of Greece's major creditors. Despite the agency's own role in creating the current situation for Greece it is clear that debt relief is the only just and realistic response, especially considering who is really benefiting from the so called bailout.
