Meet the Turkey's event! This year's dates will
be Saturday
November 7th & 21st

Come out and enjoy the festivities of seeing different turkey breeds, partake in scavenger hunts, crafting, and horse and pony rides provided by Lorie's Pony Express!

Virginia Lake Dog Park Restoration Project

For those of you who don't remember, earlier this year Phase I of the Virginia Lake Dog Park Restoration Project was completed! The bid for Phase II will be heard at the October 28th City Council Meeting at 10:00 am.

We encourage you to attend and provide a public comment thanking the City Council for their consideration of the item and their continued support of parks in the community. Your public feedback is crucial to the success of this project.

Science Corner

Did you know that a Canada goose on average weighs only 7 lbs? This adaptation keeps them light enough to fly. They achieve this weight by having hollow bones, small bodies hidden under layers of light feathers, and by not holding waste in a bladder.  The more you know!
