SEPTEMBER SEES HOME SALES IN THE REGION SLOW
(The Kitchener-Waterloo Association of Realtors changed their listings software, and therefore the data has been delayed.)
The decrease in sales numbers in the Waterloo Region are not out of the ordinary for September. Many stressful occurrences happen in September, which means people may not be as focused on purchasing a home. Year-to-date, 4,393 homes were sold, which is the highest number of units sold to the end of the third quarter since 2008 and up 4.6% over last year.

- 395 Residential sales DOWN 11.0%
- Overall Residential average price UP 2.4% to $347,633
- 274 Detached homes sales DOWN 2.5%
- Average Detached homes price DOWN 1.0% to $387,219
- 61 Condos sales DOWN 37.1%
- Average Condo price UP 6.2% to $246,933
- 26 Freehold Townhomes sales DOWN 16.1%
- 36 Semi Detached sales UP 2.9%
