Introducing my unique services to industry and individuals alike.

Gunsmithing and Gunmaking as a profession is unique. It takes skill along with dedication to provide my customers with a firearm repair or restoration that we can both be proud of. I have a passion for fine firearms and the history and engineering that goes with them. This gives you the customer, peace of mind that I will do the very best for you and your loved possession.

Over many years I have developed specialist machining and finishing techniques giving your old and new firearms a new lease of life. This comes from a complete understanding of your firearms internal workings.

My extensive engineering workshop including heat treatment facilities, gives you the customer, security in knowing that your work is done to the highest standard possible. Everything is performed in house apart from engraving which is an art in itself but I do have an engraver on hand.

I'm a fully licensed dealer in Tasmania and have over the years done many jobs for mainland customers building a reputation for fine work. Although you may consider postage to be a burden, its offset by my quick turn around times and quality workmanship. I would hope that you take this in to consideration when your next job is due, joining my other satisfied customers from around the country.

I'm happy to look at any jobs, big or small, from a misfiring .22 rim fire to a complete restoration or custom project. You may even want to look at getting that old broken banger or heirloom that you thought was past it, out of the safe and going again.

For those of you looking for the perfect gun fit, I also undertake gun fitting and can modify your gun for perfect sight alignment and better shooting increasing your bag and scores.

Whatever project you may have in mind, I can make parts for you. Pictured is the machining of custom scope mount parts. Heat treating facilities allow me to craft the perfect wearing part for your firearm. Trigger adjustments, rebarrels, chambering, crowning undertaken on a regular basis. Shotguns are a large part of my work including dent removal, spring making, fitting chokes and relaying of ribs. I work on all action types, everything can be repaired.

All of your refinishing needs including caustic blue, cold rust blue, browning of damascus, nitre blue, grit blast along with various polishing methods to give all types of surface finishes. Over the years I have also developed techniques to match existing finishes too, so I can match up new repairs or parts to your existing finish. My repairs to leather guncases and leather covered recoil pads give your firearm the final touch.

If you require repairs, alterations and refinishing to all wood work, everything can be accomplished. Pictured here are some thick veneers fitted to the head of the stock around the locks to repair someones failed sanding attempt. Its quite amazing what can be repaired with the right techniques. Stock bending also available.
